COK’s New Pro-Veg Ad Now on MTV: “Exploring Your Food”

Susie, did you ever wonder where your food comes from?

With the propaganda feel of a 50s style “educational” film, COK’s newest 30-second commercial combines humor and truth to encourage viewers to explore their food and discover the reality of exactly what—and who—they’re eating. “Exploring Your Food” starts airing on MTV stations nationwide today!

Please help us keep this ad on the air as long as possible. To show our appreciation for your special gift, we’ll even give you a free COK logo t-shirt.

Protecting the Planet—And Animals—One Meal at a Time

Choosing Vegetarian Foods to Help the Earth

Animal agriculture is considered one of the leading causes of pollution and resource depletion today. In fact, a recent report published by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization reveals that livestock production generates more greenhouse gas emissions than transportation. In other words, what we eat may contribute more to global warming than what we drive.

COK Feed-in for National Chicken Month

A COK volunteer in action

In the last issue of Compassionate Action, we told you about National Chicken Month, an industry-declared “holiday” that offers a great opportunity to inform others about the miseries endured by chickens raised for food and to encourage them to choose compassion.

Several volunteers joined COK in serving “chicken” drumsticks to passersby during a feed-in held outside a KFC in D.C. on September 1.

See photos from COK’s feed-in and find out how you can get involved.
